Leah Mwangunya

Leah Mwangunya is an experienced finance professional currently serving as the Director of Finance and Operations for Africa at the International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW) since June 2024. In this role, Leah oversees regional accounts, budgeting processes, and compliance with financial standards across various IFAW entities. Previous positions include General Accounting Manager and Finance and Grants Officer at IFAW, as well as roles at the World Wildlife Fund including Assistant Accountant and Global Grants Manager. Leah began her career as a Finance Intern at the National Bank of Kenya. Leah holds a Professional Certification in Certified Public Accounting, a Master’s degree in Project Planning and Management from the University of Nairobi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology.
