Laura Bautista

Assistant Chief Deputy Attorney General at Illinois Attorney General's Office

Laura Bautista has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Assistant Chief Deputy Attorney General at the Illinois Attorney General's Office since September 2010, where previous roles include Deputy Bureau Chief, Assistant Attorney General, and Deputy Inspector General, Chief of Springfield. Prior to this, Laura worked as an attorney at The Civil Rights Center from 2009 to 2010 and as a Staff Attorney at the Chicago Legal Clinic from 2006 to 2009. Earlier career positions include Law Clerk at Utreras Law Offices and Penny Nathan Kahan and Associates Ltd. Laura holds a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, and a B.S. in Psychology from Eastern Kentucky University, with foundational studies at The University of Memphis.
