Debbie Olson

Debbie Olson is an accomplished business executive and community leader with 25 years of experience in affordable housing and business leadership across public, private, and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as the Assistant Executive Director/Chief of Staff at the Illinois Housing Development Authority, Debbie oversees operations for a team of over 300 and has contributed to financing more than $2.9 billion in loans that have aided over 18,000 families. Previously, Debbie was the Executive Director of H.O.M.E. DuPage, where significant funding increases and program expansions improved housing services for low-income families. Additionally, Debbie has held leadership roles as a Trustee for the DuPage Regional Board of Schools and as a DuPage County Commissioner, where strategic planning and policy development were key focuses.
