Dan Elkins

Dan Elkins serves as the Associate Vice President for Academic Fiscal Management at Illinois State University, a position held since August 2005, where oversight includes managing budgets exceeding 200 million and the Academic Impact Fund. Dan has a strong background in academia, having held leadership roles such as Professor and Director of the School of Kinesiology and Recreation, which encompasses multiple undergraduate and graduate programs with over 1,000 students. Previously, Dan held positions at Indiana University Bloomington in various capacities within the Department of Recreation and Park Administration. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Leisure Behavior and a Master's degree in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies from Indiana University, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
