Luke Georgalas

Luke Georgalas is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in leadership and engineering roles. Currently serving as a Sr. Staff Software Engineer at Illumina since April 2019, Luke has taken on the responsibilities of an Engineering Manager, focusing on the career development of junior engineers and creating growth opportunities within the team. Prior to Illumina, Luke spent nearly two decades at OSIsoft, where roles included Staff Software Engineer and Senior Software Engineer, leading teams in developing SQL Server databases for message log data management. Luke holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Maryland and has pursued a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
