Aline Oliveira Pezente

Global Head of Marketplace at Indigo

As Global Head of Marketplace at Indigo, Aline leverages over seventeen years of experience working across the agricultural supply chain to enhance and scale Indigo’s cornerstone digital platform. Most recently, she served as a Global Digital Economy Strategy Lead at Cargill where she managed the company’s digital commodities trading platform and oversaw risk management strategies and analytics. Prior to her work at Cargill, Aline served as the CEO of Calyx Agro - an alternative investment fund focused on investments in agriculture farmland, land conversion, development and operations. She is also the co-founder of TrAIve Fintech, where she spearheaded the development of an end-to-end platform to connect small and medium growers with potential lenders.

Aline began her career in the investment banking industry, managing mergers and acquisitions and business strategy for a wide portfolio of agricultural and food companies including BRF Foods, Rosenberg Partners, and Louis Dreyfus. In addition to her corporate background, Aline brings field-level experience through a history of personal farm management.

Aline holds an MS in Management and Technology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MS in Corporate Finance from Fundação Instituto de Administração, Brazil, and a BBA in International Business from the Universidade Presbiteriana Mackenzie, Brazil. In 2018, she was featured on MIT Tech Review’s annual list of “35 Under 35” innovators.
