Elliot McCarthy

Elliot McCarthy is a Research Technician at Inland Fisheries Ireland, involved in various fisheries research projects since March 2020, focusing on the monitoring of fish species and assessing the impacts of climate change on habitats across Ireland. Previously, Elliot served as a Research Assistant for the Lagarosiphon Research of Lough Corrib project, employing innovative survey methods for invasive species. Experience in data collection includes a role as a Fieldwork Assistant, gathering information on freshwater Pearl Mussels. Earlier positions include E-commerce Advisor at eBay and customer service roles with Irish Water, along with volunteer work with Archelon, contributing to sea turtle conservation. Elliot holds a Bachelor's Degree in Ecology, Evolution, Systematics, and Population Biology from University College Cork.
