Wolfgang Grain

Wolfgang Grain is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for gas engines. Currently serving as a System Owner and team leader at INNIO Group since November 2018, Wolfgang oversees the electric components team, focusing on systems such as sensors, wiring, control cabinets, and power distribution. Previously, Wolfgang held several roles at GE Power, including Team Lead for control hardware development and Project Manager, where expertise in electrical safety and regulatory compliance was demonstrated. Additionally, Wolfgang has contributed as a Technical Expert for the OVE Österreichischer Verband für Elektrotechnik and as a freelancer for Wirtschaftskammer Tirol, providing training in electrical engineering. Educational qualifications include degrees in energy technology and power electronics, complemented by vocational training as an electrical installer.
