Chris Brennan is a Philadelphia politics writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer. Chris has been in the business of news writing for over 20 years. Chris started their career as a staff writer for The Pottsville Republican in March 1992. From there, they moved to the Fort Pierce Tribune where they became bureau chief in December 1993. In February 1997, Chris took a position as a staff writer for The Lakeland Ledger, covering Polk County. In October 1999, Chris became the political editor for The Philadelphia Daily News where they covered the state take-over of local school districts, the legalization of casinos in Pennsylvania, and several controversies at SEPTA. Chris established a popular daily blog on government and politics and supervised staff writers in the Philadelphia City Hall bureau. In January 2015, Chris transitioned to their current role as Philadelphia politics writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
