Julia Esposito is a skilled research assistant with experience in qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, report writing, and report automation using R. Her research interests include nutrition assistance programs and environmentally sustainable food access.
Julia supports projects across Westat Insight’s practice areas for agencies such as the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and the National Science Foundation.
Prior to joining Westat Insight, Julia was a research technician at the University of Connecticut Rudd Center for Food Policy and Health where she assisted a statewide study of the Summer Meals Programs in Connecticut to examine participant demographics and perceptions of the program under COVID-19 waivers. She holds a B.A. in both biology and environmental studies from Wellesley College.
