Cecilie Wathne

Cecilie Wathne is an experienced professional currently serving as Project Leader at the Institute of Marine Research (IMR) in Norway, where responsibilities include leading the Norwegian Blue Forest Network to enhance knowledge about blue forests. Prior to this role, Cecilie worked as a Senior Advisor at the Chr. Michelsen Institute, focusing on measurement and evaluation in anti-corruption efforts, and contributed to workshops and strategic planning. Previous experience includes consultancy work for various organizations, and serving as Head of Monitoring and Evaluation at Strømmestiftelsen, where Cecilie developed key evaluation systems and led multiple working groups. Academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in Economics for Development from the University of Oxford and dual Bachelor's degrees in Economics and Political Science from the University of Washington.
