Joana Catarina Mendes

Joana Catarina Mendes is a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações since October 2012, specializing in diamond-based electronics with a focus on thermal management and protection against corrosive environments. Joana has chaired multiple workshops, including the IEEE Workshop on Signal and Power Integrity in 2023 and 2024, and the WOCSDICE-EXMATEC 2022, fostering collaboration among researchers and industry professionals. Previously, Joana worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Universidade de Aveiro, contributing to advancements in field-effect transistors, carbon nanotubes for hydrogen storage, and diamond coatings for tribological applications. Joana holds a degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro.
