Paulo Monteiro

Paulo Monteiro is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in the field of telecommunications and optical networks. Serving as an Associate Professor at Universidade de Aveiro since March 2005, Paulo Monteiro has also been a researcher at Instituto de Telecomunicações since April 1992. Professional experience includes leadership roles at Nokia Siemens Networks from April 2007 to June 2012, where Paulo Monteiro held positions as Division Manager for Optical Network Optimization and Research Manager for Transport, Aggregation, and Fixed Access, as well as serving as Head of Research for Optical Networks at Siemens from October 2002 to February 2007. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a Licentiate degree in Electronic and Communications Engineering from Universidade de Aveiro, along with a Master of Science in Optical Communications from University College of North Wales.
