Dion J. Weisler Joins Intel's Board of Directors, Intel

Intel Corporation has announced that former President and CEO of HP, Dion J. Weisler has been elected to the company’s Board of Directors. In the role, Weisler will serve as an independent director as well as a member of the compensation and finance committees. The appointment of Weisler brings the total number of board members at Intel to ten.

"We are excited to welcome Dion to the board,” said Intel Chairman Omar Ishrak. “He brings a deep understanding of the Intel customer experience and a wealth of technical industry knowledge spanning client, cloud, and network computing. Dion also shares Intel’s strong commitment to corporate responsibility, having championed diversity and inclusion as well as sustainability while leading HP.”

Weisler brings extensive global executive experience to Intel’s board. He most recently served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of HP Inc. from 2015 to 2019. Before that, he held senior executive roles at HP and Lenovo Group, where he was responsible for various global operations. His experience also includes management positions with Telstra Corp, a telecommunications company, and Acer as well as stints on the board of directors at HP, Thermo Fisher Scientific, and BHP.

Intel Appoints Sunil Shenoy as Senior Vice President of Design Engineering Group

Intel Corporation today announced the appointment of Sunil Shenoy as senior vice president and general manager of the Design Engineering Group, effective Feb. 1. Shenoy, a 33-year Intel veteran who departed in 2014, returns to the company to lead the critical work of design, development, validation and manufacturing of intellectual properties and system-on-chips (SOC) for client and data center applications. Shenoy will report to current CEO Bob Swan until Feb. 15, after which he will report to incoming CEO Pat Gelsinger. “Sunil is a proven engineering leader who has deep experience in microprocessor and SoC design and R&D,” said Swan. “His experience inside and outside of Intel will enable him to combine the best of Intel culture with an entrepreneurial spirit and fresh perspective as we work to strengthen the company’s technical leadership team and to coach and develop a new generation of technical talent.” Most recently, Shenoy was senior vice president and general manager of RISC-V at SiFive, an Intel Capital portfolio company working to commercialize the RISC-V open architecture. At SiFive, Shenoy helped build the engineering team. In his prior years at Intel, Shenoy was corporate vice president in charge of Intel’s Platform Engineering Group, responsible for microprocessor and SoC design across Intel’s product groups. He also led Intel’s Visual and Parallel Computing Group and server and PC silicon development R&D and engineering, among other responsibilities. Shenoy graduated from Syracuse University with a master’s degree in computer engineering; he has an MBA from the University of Oregon. He holds 16 patents in computer and microprocessor technology. Intel Corporation names Safroadu Yeboah-Amankwah SVP, Chief Strategy Officer

Tech company Intel Corporation has hired Safroadu (Saf) Yeboah-Amankwah as senior vice president and chief strategy officer. Mr. Yeboah-Amankwah will head the company’s global strategy office, including Intel Capital, collaborating with the executive team to develop and implement growth strategies. His appointment is effective November 1, 2020, and he will report to CEO Bob Swan. “A profound evolution in computing is opening a much larger opportunity with implications for every aspect of our business,” said Mr. Swan. “Saf has strong experience in strategy and international markets, a deep technical background, and he knows Intel well.
