Nicole Thayer

Nicole Thayer, RN, MBA CPHRM, currently serves as the Director of Risk and Quality Assurance at InterMed, P.A., since June 2025. Prior to this role, Nicole held the position of Director of Clinical Risk Management at MaineHealth from March 2023 to June 2025, leading a system-wide clinical risk management program focused on enhancing patient safety and minimizing organizational risk. Nicole's career at Martin's Point Health Care spanned from January 2017 to February 2023, where responsibilities evolved from Clinical Operations Lead to Clinical Risk Manager, overseeing quality efforts and accreditation programs. Earlier experience includes serving as Charge Nurse at Spring Harbor Hospital, a part of the MaineHealth network, and positions in research at Bayer Pharmaceuticals and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Nicole holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from Carnegie Mellon University and an MBA with a focus on Leadership from Saint Joseph's College, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
