Katie Russell

Katie Russell currently serves as the Director of Mobilization at the International Justice Mission, a position held since December 2021. Prior experience includes roles at the International Student House of Washington, DC, where responsibilities ranged from Senior Director of External Affairs to Director of Outreach and Strategic Initiatives, focusing on strategic planning and communications for a diverse community of graduate students. Additional experience includes roles at Park Community Church as a Ministry Assistant, during which event programming was coordinated, and an internship at The Chicago Council on Global Affairs, supporting event logistics and communications. Early career experience includes service with City Year in the South Bronx, where educational and community service initiatives were developed. Academic qualifications include a Master’s candidate in Urban Planning and Policy with a focus on Community and International Development from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and International Studies from Ball State University.
