Jean-Yves Barba serves as the Chief Technical Advisor at the International Labour Organization since November 2018, leading initiatives focused on improving the socio-economic conditions of youth NEET in the MENA region and supporting the Ethiopian Government's Jobs Compact for refugee integration. Previously, Barba worked as Programme Coordinator at UNOPS, where responsibilities included business development and project formulation, and served as a DDR Officer for the United Nations, providing policy support for ex-combatants' reintegration. Additional experience includes roles at UN OCHA and IOM, where Barba contributed to data analysis, community-based projects, and monitoring and evaluation processes. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in International Relations from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering from the University of Florida.
