Christopher Rogers

Dr. Christopher Rogers serves as CEO, Chief Science Officer, and is a co-founder of Exemplar Genetics (now Precigen Exemplar). Dr. Rogers is internationally recognized as a leader in the development of porcine disease models, with many research papers, reviews, and patents to his name. Dr. Rogers received his PhD in Pharmacology from Vanderbilt University focusing on gene therapy and his postdoctoral training at the University of Iowa where he and colleagues created the first knockout and knockin models of a human disease in a large animal species – cystic fibrosis in pigs. This work led to the founding of Exemplar Genetics.
