Andy McPherson

Andy McPherson has extensive experience in the field of organic chemistry, currently holding the position of Executive Director at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., since May 2008, where previous titles included Director and Associate Director of Process Organic Chemistry. Prior to this role, Andy worked as a Scientist II at TargeGen, Inc., and as a Research Associate at The Scripps Research Institute, contributing valuable expertise in process and medicinal chemistry. Additionally, Andy served as an Organic Chemistry Lecturer at UC San Diego. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of California, Riverside, and a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, complemented by post-doctoral training at Scripps Research.
