Carolyn Mazzitelli

Carolyn Mazzitelli is an experienced Executive Director at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc., with a progressive career spanning several roles since May 2017, including Director and Associate Director. Prior to this, Carolyn held the position of Scientist II at Dart NeuroScience LLC, leading analytical development efforts for compounds in pre-phase I through Phase II clinical trials. Carolyn's career includes technical and managerial oversight of scientific consulting projects at Signature Science, LLC, as well as roles at Gilead Sciences and Vertex Pharmaceuticals, where analytical method development and stability studies were key responsibilities. Carolyn holds a PhD in Chemistry from The University of Texas at Austin and a BS in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
