Karina Garnier Christensen is a Danish business executive and academic who currently serves as Director at IT-Universitetet i København. Christensen began their career as a researcher, studying brain cancer at Odense University Hospital from 2004 to 2009. Karina then transitioned into the business world, serving as an Executive Committee Member for the Danish Cancer Society from 2007 to 2010. In 2013, Christensen became Program Manager at the University of Copenhagen, where they oversaw stem cell research, fundraising, and communication for the university. After four years in this role, they were headhunted by Novo Nordisk Foundation to serve as Scientific Manager from 2016 to 2017. In this role, Christensen was responsible for preparing, implementing, and following up on strategic grants within the fields of research education, biobanking, and related activities. In 2017, Christensen was appointed as a Member of Board of Directors at IT University of Copenhagen, a position they still hold today.

Karina Garnier Christensen has a Doctor of Philosophy in Cancer from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, a Bachelor of Medicine from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark, and a Bachelor's degree in Communication, French, Spanish and international business from Syddansk Universitet - University of Southern Denmark. Karina also has an APMG Certification in Change Management from Metier Scandinavia and certification from APMG International in Change Management Foundation.
