Chris WH Chan

Associate Dean, Asia at Ivey Business School

Chris Chan is the current Associate Dean of Asia at Ivey Business School. Prior to this, Chris was an Adjunct Professor of Accounting at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology from January 2012 to December 2012. Chris has also been a Professor at Cornell University from January 2010 to December 2012, and during this time was also the Dean of Cornell-Nanyang Institute based in Singapore.

Chris has been instrumental in developing the Master of Management program in Asia, and has been responsible for curriculum development and effective marketing and admission strategies. Chris has also designed and taught executive education programs for global companies with strong presence in China and Asia-Pacific. In addition, Chris has cultivated strong corporate and alumni networks in Asia through executive conferences, corporate and development events. Finally, Chris has planned and launched a career development service/program to connect employers to graduates and to meet their talent recruitment and retention needs.

Chris WH Chan earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Accountancy from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Chris is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Accountants (FIPA) and a Certified Management Accountant from the Institute of Certified Management Accountants, Australia.

Chris WH Chan reports to Sharon Hodgson, Dean. They are on a team with Jessica Gibson - Faculty Development Officer, Gal Raz - Associate Dean, Research, and Kelly Mccann - Chief Financial Officer.
