In 2021, they began working as the Vice President of Biopharma Innovation at ixlayer, where they are responsible for developing new applications for world-class, tech-enabled health testing solutions. In 2020, they were the Principal Life Science Strategic Advisor at SAS, providing domain expertise and insights to help life science organizations leverage industry-leading solutions. In 2019, they were the Director, Clinical Trials Business at 23andMe, leading the vision and strategy to scale the Clinical Trials Business. From 2017-2019, they were the Head, Trial Optimization Offerings at IQVIA Technologies, developing the strategy, vision, and roadmap for the company's industry-leading trial optimization suite of technology solutions. From 2012-2014, they were the Global Feasibility Manager and Senior Strategic Site Intelligence Specialist at IQVIA, performing complex data mining of internal databases and making site intelligence decisions and recommendations to internal and external customers. From 2007-2012, they were the Clinical Quality Assurance Auditor II and Clinical Research Associate I/II at Premier Research, performing internal system or operational audits and managing highest-enrolling global clinical trial research sites.

Shawn Tedman attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business from 2011 to 2012, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration in Health Sector Management. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Stetson University.
