Mila Vega serves as the Assistant Vice President of Planning and Sustainability at the Jacksonville Transportation Authority since January 2022, leading efforts to enhance regional transportation, conserve natural resources, and contribute to sustainable fleet initiatives as part of the MOVE2027 strategy. Previously, Mila held the position of Planning Supervisor with the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, where a successful launch of the Wake Bus Rapid Transit program established a foundation for leadership. Mila's career began as a Land Use/Transportation Planner II with Orange County NC Government and has included roles at the Town of Chapel Hill, the Capital District Transportation Authority, and internships with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority and Downtown Albany BID. Mila holds a Master’s degree in Regional Planning from the University at Albany, SUNY.
