Chad Saylor

Chad Saylor serves as the Associate Director of Media Relations and Deputy Spokesperson at James Madison University, beginning in May 2024. Prior to this role, Saylor was the Coordinator of Communications for Greene County Public Schools from September 2022 to April 2024, delivering public relations and strategic communications services. Saylor's experience also includes working as an Account Executive at Commonwealth Public Relations, where tactical public relations and communication strategies were developed for a diverse client base. Saylor's career in public affairs began with the U.S. Coast Guard, spanning from June 2005 to March 2019, where various roles included Public Affairs Officer, Entertainment Media Liaison, and Assistant Public Affairs Officer, leading significant media relations initiatives and managing communications during key events like Hurricane Harvey. Saylor holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice/Police Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and has undertaken further education at Old Dominion University and the Defense Information School.
