Roger Thompson

Roger Thompson is the current Chief Financial Officer at Janus Henderson. Roger has over 25 years of experience in the financial industry, including previous positions as CFO of JPMorgan Asset Management and various roles at J.P. Morgan.

Thompson began their career at J.P. Morgan in October 1993 in the Investment Banking division, where they worked in finance. In 1996, they were transferred to Hong Kong to work in finance for the Asia-Pacific region. Roger later worked in Singapore and Tokyo before returning to London in 2000 to take on the role of CFO for JPMorgan Asset Management.

In 2009, Thompson left JPMorgan to join Henderson Global Investors as CFO. Roger served in this role until 2017, when they were appointed CFO of Janus Henderson.

Thompson has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of London and is a Chartered Accountant.

Roger Thompson attended Portsmouth Grammar School and then Exeter University where they earned a BA Hons in Economics and Accountancy.
