Michael Sheehy

Michael Sheehy has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, currently serving as VP & Head of Global Manufacturing at Jazz Pharmaceuticals since January 2014, with additional roles including VP & Head of External Manufacturing and Executive Director of Manufacturing Sciences. Prior to this, Michael worked at Elanco as the Technical Services & Manufacturing Science Site Lead, where responsibilities included establishing a Technical Support function for a new fermentation facility for animal vaccines. Earlier career highlights include serving as Bioprocess Technical Support Site Lead at Pfizer, managing a team dedicated to bioprocessing and manufacturing support activities. Michael's academic background includes a PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry from Dublin City University, an MBA from The Open University, and a BSc(Hons) in Chemistry from University College Cork.
