Anthony Barkow has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Anthony started their career as an Assistant United States Attorney at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington DC from 1998 to 2002. Anthony then moved to the United States Attorney's Office in the Southern District of New York, where they served as an Assistant United States Attorney from 2002 to 2008. In 2008, Barkow joined NYU School of Law as the Executive Director of a non-profit organization focused on improving the criminal justice system's administration, specifically on prosecutorial power. Anthony held this position until 2011. Since 2012, Barkow has been with Jenner & Block, where they are currently the Managing Partner in New York and co-chairs the Investigations, Compliance, and Defense Practice Group.
Anthony Barkow earned a JD degree in Law from Harvard Law School after completing their studies from 1992 to 1995. Prior to that, they pursued a degree in History, graduating with an AB from the University of Michigan from 1987 to 1991.
