Jayne Rowley is the Executive Director Student Services at Jisc. She is responsible for ensuring that the charitable mission to guide all students to a brilliant career is accomplished.
The directorate runs Prospects.ac.uk, the UK’s leading graduate careers and employability platform supporting the work of careers services, educators, and employers. As part of the strategic functions for UUK they provide labour market information and research to inform stakeholder policy and develop state-of-the-art career planning tools like Planner and Job Match, working in close partnership with the careers community.
They developed and run the national verification service Hedd, supporting digital portability and accessibility of authentic UK graduate credentials across the globe; promoting education integrity, combating degree fraud and protecting UK learners. They will work closely with the data analytics and trust and identity directorates within Jisc to deliver Jisc’s student experience strategy.
Jayne's previous role was CEO of HECSU and Prospects. Over 23 years she helped to transform the business from print publishing to the UK’s leading graduate careers and employability platform supporting the work of careers services, educators and employers.
Prior to this, she worked in marketing roles in the recruitment, wholesale and publishing industries for major UK companies like Hays, Menzies and Macmillan.
She hits the press for putting 30,000 tins of baked beans into Blackwells bookshops. Jayne graduated in Marketing and French from Lancaster University.
