Luisa Salter-Cid

Luisa Salter-Cid, Ph.D., was appointed to our board of directors in February 2021. Dr. Salter-Cid currently serves as the Chief Scientific Officer of Gossamer Bio, which she joined in 2018. Previously, she held several roles of increasing responsibility over the prior 13 years at Bristol Meyers Squibb, leading teams that advanced over 20 compounds into clinical development and chairing the immunoscience target science team. Prior to joining BMS, she was a Senior Project Leader at La Jolla Pharmaceuticals where she led discovery projects. Dr. Salter-Cid also held positions at Genset Corp and Johnson & Johnson and is an author of over 70 publications and patents.

Dr. Salter-Cid holds a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Miami School of Medicine, an M.S. in Biology from Florida International University and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
