Jonathan Nye is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in software development, data science, and engineering roles across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Platform Engineer at Juna AI since October 2025, Jonathan previously contributed as a Senior Manufacturing Software Engineer at Tesla, where responsibilities included developing software solutions and leading data initiatives for efficient manufacturing processes. As Data Science Lead at Akelius Residential Property AB, Jonathan established the data science function and created machine learning pipelines to enhance model consistency. Jonathan's background includes software engineering at VAMED, network planning engineering at Eskom, and initial engineering experience at ACTOM (Pty) Ltd. Jonathan holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stellenbosch University and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Cape Town.
