Emma Ocop has over 15 years of experience in the software quality assurance industry. In 2004, they began their career as a QA Tester (Release and Support) at Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting US. Emma then moved on to Abovehealth as a QA Contractor in 2005. Later that year, they joined HESI as a QA Analyst, where they performed functional and backend testing using SQL queries for computerized assessment. In 2006, they joined Accredited Home Lenders as a QA Analyst, where they were a member of a high performance team that delivered a project called SmartLeads. Emma then moved on to ICW Group in 2007 as a Senior QA Engineer, where they assisted in implementing processes for the new department. In 2010, they joined Bridgepoint Education as a Quality Assurance II, where they were a member of a Product Scrum Team. In 2012, they joined Norima Consulting as a Senior Consultant and led an e-commerce project for their client based in Winnipeg. Finally, in 2014, they joined Sequenom Laboratories as a Scrum Master/Business Systems Analyst, where they collaborated with the team to expand, develop and implement new processes for their new department. In 2022, they joined Juno Diagnostics as a Program Manager.

Shivani Kamath Belman has worked in the field of data engineering and bioinformatics since 2018. Shivani began their career as a Visiting Research Scholar Intern at Northwell Health, where they pursued a project called Muphenome.org on clinical bioinformatics and microbiome analysis. Shivani designed ETL pipelines to integrate data from various online resources and analyze the results to find domain-domain interactions. In 2019, they began working at Quadrant Biosciences Inc as a Data Scientist - Bioinformatics Associate, where they were responsible for analyzing NGS and medical patient data to gain insights and build various extraction, transform and load pipelines. Additionally, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at UIC Department of Psychiatry in 2019. Shivani is currently employed at Juno Diagnostics as a Data Engineer since 2022.

Sarah began their career in 2013 as a Gymnastics Coach at YMCA of San Diego County. Rebecca Murphy has over twenty years of experience in the healthcare industry. Rebecca began their career in 1998 as a Software Trainer for CA Inc. In 2005, they joined Myriad Genetics as a Thoracic Oncology Key Accounts and Women's Health Account Executive, where they were promoted to Product Specialist and achieved several awards, including Account Executive of the Year and Women's Health Growth Award. In 2017, they moved to Tempus, Inc. as a Clinical and Research Partnerships. In 2018, they joined Sysmex Inostics as Manager, US Patient Testing Sales & Reimbursement and Manager, Reimbursement Strategy. In 2019, they joined BioReference Laboratories as Director, Payer Relations, Manager, National Accounts, and Manager, Payer Relations - Central Region. In 2022, they became Director, Payer Relations at Sema4 and Sr. Director of Managed Markets at Predicine. In 2023, they were appointed Head of Market Access at Juno Diagnostics.

Rachelle Lamy has worked in the medical field since 2006. Rachelle began as a Clinical Laboratory Technician at Brigham and Women's Hospital, followed by a Medical Insurance Verification Researcher at Covance Market Access Services in 2009. In 2010, they became a Research Assistant at The Scripps Research Institute. From 2012-2016, they held three positions at Sequenom, including Clinical Genetic Molecular Biologist Scientist (CGMBS-CLS) Trainee, Quality Assurance Lab Coordinator, and Laboratory Associate II. In 2016, they were a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CGMBS) at DermTech. From 2019-2021, they were a Clinical Laboratory Scientist 2 (CGMBS) at NeoGenomics Laboratories. Rachelle currently holds the role of Clinical Laboratory Scientist 3 at Juno Diagnostics.

Nikki So is currently working as a Research Associate for Juno Diagnostics, a position they have held since 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant for Penn State University from 2020 to 2021. Nikki previously worked as a Laboratory Intern for Pregenex Laboratories from 2019 to 2020 and as an Operations Intern for Tamrind Resources from 2017 to 2019.

Mike Nguyen has been working in the engineering and biotechnology fields since 2004. Mike's first role was as a Manufacturing Development Engineer II at Predicant BioSciences from 2004 to 2006. Mike then moved to Parallel Synthesis where they worked as a Senior BioChemist. From 2006 to 2008, they were a Scientist and Scientist 1 at Illumina, where they developed magnetic based cell lysis technology, optimized optical components, and developed optical calibration processes for Real-time PCR systems. From 2008 to 2014, they worked at San Diego Biotech as a Scientist & Engineer. In 2015, they became the Head of Fluidics and Senior Scientist & Engineer at Omniome, where they developed sequencing library prep and on-surface cluster generation methods. From 2018 to 2021, they worked at Juno Diagnostics as the Principal Engineer and Head of Engineering. In 2018, they also began working at Plexium as the Associate Director of Product Development.

In 2013, they joined Woodruff-Sawyer & Co. as Vice President of Marketing & Communications, where they built the marketing platform across 13 lines of insurance. In 2016, they joined REQ Digital (f/k/a Internet Marketing Inc.) as Vice President of Agency Operations and later Acting COO, where they increased customer retention rate by 22% and reduced employee turnover by 17%. In 2018, they joined Symantec as Senior Director of Global Digital Marketing, where they led the Symantec strategy and execution of the global digital marketing program, increasing lead volume by 313% while reducing cost-per-lead by 136%. In 2019, they joined SEM International as a Marketing Strategy Consultant. Most recently, they joined Juno Diagnostics as Head of Marketing, where they are responsible for brand development & management, corporate communications & PR, media activation, DTC, lead generation, customer loyalty & advocacy, and marketing operations.

Lauren Redfern, MPH has a diverse work experience. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Davidson College Center for Teaching and Learning Work Study, Academic Intern at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Research Assistant at Santa Cruz Biotechnology (SCBT), Research Intern at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and Teaching Assistant at UC San Diego. In 2021, they began working as a Clinical Trial Associate at CRC Oncology and as a Research Associate at Juno Diagnostics. During their time at MD Anderson Cancer Center, they conducted research alongside a diverse team of graduate and postdoctoral researchers, gaining experience with invitro and invivo methods. Christopher Ellison has over 19 years of work experience in the field of research and development. Christopher began their career in 2002 as a Graduate Research Assistant at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, where they adapted enzyme and transcription assays to micro scale tissue samples, evaluated interaction of somatic and regulatory variants in nuclear-mitochondrial epistasis, and developed flexible molecular assays. In 2008, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at Cornell University, where they designed quantitative genetic and genomic solutions for variant screening in non-model taxa and managed a group propagating laboratory animal cultures. From 2013 to 2018, they worked at Sequenom Laboratories as a Scientist Staff II/Scientist, Senior Scientist I, and Scientist II, where they managed teams of lab personnel, developed novel genomic enrichment and unique molecular identification biochemistries, and implemented complex DOE experiment and analysis strategies. In 2018, they joined Bluestar Genomics, Inc - Precision Epigenomic Medicine as a Principal Scientist and Senior Scientist, where they managed laboratory personnel, production benchmarks, and research objectives, budgeted, hired, and acquired capital to expand technical capabilities, and defined research objectives and timelines. In 2021, they became the Head of Research and Development at Juno Diagnostics.

In 2021, they were the Web/IT Assistant for Operation Gratitude, where they understood and enabled the Operation Gratitude mission and vision. In 2022, they are currently the Marketing Operations Manager for Juno Diagnostics, the Client Sales Partner for Recurrent Ventures, and the Social Media Manager for Spring Insight, LLC. April was also the Marketing Strategist for The Intentionalpreneur Agency from 2016 to 2018.

Amanda Marra, PhD has had a varied and impressive work experience. Amanda began their career in 2010 as an Undergraduate Research Scientist at Lyon College. In 2013, they were an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant at Lyon College and a Graduate Research Scientist and Research Mentor at the University of Notre Dame. Amanda also served as a Program Coordinator for the Biology Leadership and Innovation Certificate Program, and was a Member of the Life Science Symposium Committee. In 2019, Amanda was a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at the University of California San Diego. Amanda then moved to Wildflower Biopharma in 2020 as a Research Scientist, and in 2021 they became a Scientist at 48HD BioPharma, Inc. Most recently, Amanda has been a R&D Scientist at Juno Diagnostics since 2022.

Allison Chia-Yi Wu (吳家宜) has a diverse work experience. In 2021, they are working as a Lead Data Scientist at Juno Diagnostics and a Data Scientist Volunteer at DataKind SF/Bay Area. From 2020 to 2021, they were a Senior Data Scientist at ResMed, where they used deep learning NLP algorithms to detect emerging topics and issues in myAir reviews and established a web app with Dash to monitor and track NLP results in real-time. Allison Chia-Yi also leveraged causal inference statistics with machine learning to provide data-driven solutions for HME decision making. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Staff Scientist, Data Sciences, a Global Lead of the Thermo Fisher Data Science Innovation Lab, and a Data Scientist and Pricing Analyst at Thermo Fisher Scientific. In this role, they established machine learning standards in Thermo Fisher with Databricks and AWS, developed a machine learning model to predict customer buying behaviors based on views and sales history, and provided strategic pricing supports to multiple business segments within the Life Science Group. From 2015 to 2017, they were a Chief Scientific Officer at Cenezyme, where they managed a 5-person research group to conduct sequencing analysis, cell and biochemical studies to develop a novel immune-oncology drug discovery. From 2009 to 2011, they were a Graduate Researcher at the University of California, San Diego, where they dissected the worm intestinal genetic network with quantitative measurement and modeling. Allison Chia-Yi also worked as a Short-term Research Fellow at Université Laval in 2011 and an Undergraduate Research Assistant at National Taiwan University from 2006 to 2009.

Anya Malyarenko has been working in the field of data science since 2011. Her first role was as a Taxonomy Manager at Elsevier in 2011, followed by a Metrology Software Design Engineer at ASML in the same year. In 2011, they also began working as a Postdoc at the University of California San Diego, where they were a lead researcher in Analysis of time series and developed methods to identify and remove periodic components from real data sets. From 2015 to 2021, Anya worked at Vbios as the Director of Data Science department. In 2018, they also joined the University of California San Diego as a Data Scientist and Scientific Researcher. Finally, in 2020, Anya began working as a Data Scientist/Consultant at PREDICTIVE BIOLOGY, INC., where they were responsible for single cell analysis and image-based morphological profiling.

Colette Troughton has worked in a variety of roles since 2015. From 2015-2018, they were a Veterinary/Technician Assistant at Beverly Hills Small Animal Hospital, an Veterinary Assistant & Administrative Assistant at Aliso Beach Animal Clinic, and an Event Services Employee at Associated Students UCLA. In 2017, they were a Research Assistant at The Grether Lab and a Research Student at Marine Biology Quarter. From 2020-2022, they were a Veterinary Assistant at San Diego Humane Society and is currently a Customer Care Specialist at Juno Diagnostics. In this role, they are responsible for elevating user experience and providing support and guidance to customers regarding NIPS products.

They then completed an Internship and Master Thesis at Robert Bosch GmbH in the same year. In 2018, they took on the role of Software Engineer at QuEST Global. In 2020, they moved to S&V as a Data Scientist. Currently, Achala Subramanya is a Senior Data Scientist at Juno Diagnostics.

Achala Subramanya has a Master of Science degree in Computer Software Technology/Technician from Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart, obtained between 2015 and 2017. In December 2021, Achala Subramanya also obtained certifications in Convolutional Neural Networks, Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter Tuning, Regularization and Optimization, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, Structuring Machine Learning Projects, Deep Learning Specialization, and Sequence Models from Coursera.

Todd Whitson has over 24 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Todd began their career in 1997 as a District Sales Manager at Eli Lilly & Company. In 2006, they moved to Novartis as a Regional Manager. In 2008, they became the VP of Sales at Genzyme Genetics (acquired by LabCorp). In 2011, they became the VP of Sales and Commercial Operations at Ariosa Diagnostics (acquired by Roche). In 2016, they were appointed Chief Commercial Officer at CareDx, Inc. In 2017, they became the Chief Commercial Officer at Karius, Inc. In 2018, they took on the role of Strategic Advisor at CellMax Life. In 2019, they became the Chief Strategy Officer at Nephrosant, Inc. Currently, they serve as the EVP, Global Business Development and Commercial Operations at Juno Diagnostics.

Todd Whitson attended Lafayette College from 1991 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts in Economics/Psychology. Todd then attended University of Richmond from 1994 to 1996, where they earned a Master of Science in Sports Administration.

Paul Oeth is currently the Co-Founder of Lab Ops at [Juno Diagnostics](/org/juno-diagnostics), but they have plenty of experience in the field. From January 2016 to March 2018, Paul was a Clinical Lab Scientist (CGMBS) with Trovagene. Paul then took on the role as Head of Clinical Lab Operations and Diagnostic Assay Development with Sequenom Laboratories from June 2009 to December 2015. In this role, they were responsible for the laboratory operations of three different Sequenom Center for Molecular Medicine clinical labs. Paul was in charge of lab performance, personnel, budgets, and technology/science advancements, among other things. Paul was also the Project Leader for the development and commercialization of a Cystic Fibrosis LDT for carrier screening. Paul has collaborated with Scripps Translational Science Institute and UCSD/San Diego Supercomputer Center on various projects. Most recently, they were the Project Leader for the exploration of clinically significant structural variations in the RCA locus of chromosome 1 in relation to disease association with age-related macular degeneration. Paul's experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to [Juno Diagnostics](/org/juno-diagnostics).
