John Couperthwaite

John Couperthwaite, PhD, serves as the Director of Education for EMEA and APAC at Kaltura since August 2022, leading strategic initiatives in video-based education and customer success within the education sector. Prior to Kaltura, John was a Senior Customer Success Manager and Head of Customer Success for EMEA at Echo360, Inc., where efforts focused on driving institutional adoption through enterprise sales and engagement. John's experience also includes serving as Managing Director at Learning Futures Consulting Ltd, a Learning Consultant at PebblePad, and various roles in educational technology at the University of Birmingham. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Hydraulics from the University of Birmingham, along with a postgraduate certificate in online and distance education from The Open University and a BSci in Geography from the University of Leeds.
