Tom Fisher

Tom Fisher is the EVP and Chief Information Officer at KAR Auction Services. Tom has over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, with a focus on cloud operations and VoIP technologies.

Tom began their career as an analyst at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) in 1998. Tom then moved to Cisco Systems, where they worked as an applications consultant for two years. In 2002, they joined Genesys | Interactive Intelligence as SVP Cloud Operations and General Manager. Tom was responsible for meeting with customers to address technical sales issues for VOIP or TDM contact centers and PBX deployments, and gave presentations across the country on VoIP issues and design methodologies.

Some highlights of Tom's experience include designing complex customer solutions that integrate with third-party applications such as PBXs, ACDs, IVRs, and call recording systems; explaining complex designs and terminology to decision makers in an easy-to-understand manner; mentoring systems engineers and helping them get the training they need; managing customer relationships; and meeting sales targets for their region.

In their current role at KAR Auction Services, Tom is responsible for the company's IT strategy, budget, and operations. Tom is also responsible for leading the company's digital transformation initiatives.

Tom Fisher has a BS in Communications Systems Management from Ohio University, as well as Cisco Certifications in CCNA, CCDA, IP Telephony Design Specialist, ICM Certified Support Specialist, CIPT, and EVODD. Tom is also a Certified Systems Engineer and IP Telephony Architect from Interactive Intelligence, Inc. and holds Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) certifications.
