Joe Crowe has worked in the engineering field for over 30 years. Joe began their career in 1984 at the Illinois Department of Transportation, where they served as the Deputy Director of Highways/Region Three Engineer. In this role, they were responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all activities in the IDOT Division of Highways Region Three to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations of state highways. Joe also maintained working relationships with the public, other regional offices, central office bureaus, local agency representatives, state and federal legislators, contractors, and consultants.
In 2014, Joe Crowe joined the Kaskaskia Engineering Group, LLC as the Executive Vice President. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the administrative functions of the firm, which included accounting, human resources, marketing, proposal preparation, and teaming opportunities. Joe also oversaw the operations of the Peoria, Champaign, and Macomb satellite offices of the firm, as well as the functions of the Construction Inspection, Structures, and Geotechnical Departments.
Joe Crowe obtained a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 1984. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Pre-Engineering from Lincoln Land Community College in 1981. Joe Crowe also holds a High School diploma from Belleville Township High School-East, which they completed in 1979. Additionally, Joe Crowe has obtained several certifications, including First Aid/CPR/AED Certification from the American Heart Association in 2016, Professional Engineer-Commonwealth of Kentucky from the Kentucky State Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors in 2014, Professional Engineer-State of Minnesota from the Minnesota State Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design in 2014, Professional Engineer-State of Arkansas from the Arkansas Board of Licensure for Professional Engineers and Professional Surveyors in 2014, Professional Engineer-State of Iowa from the Iowa Engineering and Land Surveying Examining Board in 2014, National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying Record from the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying in 2014, Professional Engineer-State of Indiana from the Indiana Professional Licensing Board in 2014, Professional Engineer-State of Missouri from the Missouri Division of Professional Registration in 1992, and Professional Engineer-State of Illinois from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation in 1988.
