Kristin Smithson

Kristin Smithson is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the arts and nonprofit sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Impact Officer at the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation since July 2016, Kristin has held various roles including Senior Program Officer and Program Officer. Prior to this, Kristin spent nearly nine years at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts, where roles included Director of Marketing and Communications, Public Relations Manager, and Special Projects Coordinator. Additional experience includes positions at TheatreDreams, Chicago Opera Theater, Chicago Loop Alliance, and Starlight Theatre. Kristin holds a Master's degree in Arts Management from Columbia College Chicago and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Music and Voice and Opera from Truman State University.
