Michael Zimmerman

Michael Zimmerman is a seasoned logistics and supply chain professional with extensive experience in consulting and project management. Currently a Partner at Kearney since November 2009, Michael specializes in delivering best-in-class logistics solutions. Prior to this role, Michael was the Owner/Partner at Atlas Supply Chain Ltd, providing supply chain consulting from April 2004 to November 2009. At FreeMarkets from January 2001 to March 2004, Michael served as Director of Consulting and eSourcing Solutions, focusing on global purchasing programs for Fortune 500 companies. Michael began a career in project management at Carrier Corporation, overseeing various logistics and production projects from September 1993 to December 2000. Earlier experience includes working as a Systems Programmer at US Surgical from September 1988 to June 1991. Michael holds an MBA in Operations from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Amherst College.
