Nikolai Dobberstein

Nikolai Dobberstein is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the telecommunications and technology sectors, currently serving as a Partner and Global Leader in the Communications, Media, and Technology Practice at Kearney. Since April 2011, Nikolai has led significant business and digital transformation initiatives across Southeast Asia, India, the Middle East, and Africa, including a major enterprise telco's digital transformation and a large-scale reorganization impacting around 10,000 staff. Previously, Nikolai held key roles such as Investor at Madcat World Sdn Bhd and Director at Scicom (MSC) Bhd, contributing to customer care and BPO operations. As Senior Vice President at Maxis, Nikolai was instrumental in elevating the company into a top 15 global mobile data player, responsible for substantial P&L oversight. A former Executive Committee member of the Wireless Broadband Alliance, Nikolai also spent 12 years as a Partner at McKinsey & Company, concentrating on telecom, high-tech, and organizational management. Nikolai holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration with a focus on Technology and Innovation Management from the University of Kiel, Germany.
