Roderick D. Gillum

Board Member at Kellanova

Roderick Gillum has been a member of Kellogg Company’s Board of Directors since February 2019. He serves on the Manufacturing Committee and the Social Responsibility & Public Policy Committee.

Mr. Gillum is currently a principal at Jackson Lewis P.C. where he co-leads the Firm’s Automotive Industry team.

Prior to joining Jackson Lewis, Mr. Gillum served as a senior leader at General Motors Company where he was most recently the Vice President, Corporate Responsibility and Diversity. He also rose to serve as the Secretary of the GM Board of Directors.

In addition, Mr. Gillum held executive roles at GM as the Chief Personnel, Benefits and Labor Attorney; Vice President, General Counsel; and Secretary for GM’s Saturn Corporation.

At GM, he provided leadership as a co-leader of the Public Policy Center based in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America where he developed and coordinated global policy positions on safety, trade and government relations.

Prior to GM, Mr. Gillum was an attorney with the National Labor Relations Board in Detroit, Michigan.

Mr. Gillum has been a trustee of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation since December 2006. He previously served as the board chair and more recently as the co-trustee of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation Trust. In addition, he serves on the board at Invest Detroit and Detroit Economic Club and previously chaired the GM Foundation.

Mr. Gillum holds a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University, a Juris Doctor degree from Northeastern University and a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He was also elected a Fellow at the American Bar Association’s College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
