Martha Humphries

Martha Humphries is an experienced professional with a diverse background in writing, editing, and education. Currently serving as a substitute teacher at a private school since August 2021, Martha has also worked as a contract transcriptionist for Kelly since May 2019, transcribing interviews for research projects at the SMU Center on Research and Evaluation. With a freelance writing and editing career starting in 2007, Martha has produced newsletter and magazine articles while editing book manuscripts. As a personal historian at Forgotten Memories from November 2011 to September 2022, Martha utilized journalistic skills to assist clients in preserving their life stories. Previous roles include senior content editor for DIYLegacies.com and grant manager for Attitudes & Attire. Martha's editorial experience spans several magazines, including Unisphere Magazine and Gift Digest Magazine, and Martha holds a BA in English from The University of Texas at Austin.
