David Mount

David Mount is a partner at G2VP, focused on investments at the intersection of advanced digital technologies and traditional industry. Prior to G2VP, David was a partner in the Green Growth Fund at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers for nine years, where he invested in companies such as OSIsoft, ServiceMax, Opower and SilverSpring Networks. He also founded Element Analytics, a software company focused on time series data analysis. Earlier in his career, David worked in the energy, chemicals and consumer portfolios at Bain Capital Credit, a $20B structured finance unit of Bain Capital. David holds a B.A. from Yale University, an M.S. in environment and resources and an M.B.A. from Stanford University, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar. He remains involved at Stanford as a guest lecturer and as a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board at the Stanford School of Earth, Energy and Environmental Sciences.
