Basem Salfiti

Basem Salfiti serves as Chairman of the Board at Bank-al-Etihad since April 2024 and is a Co-Founder and Board Member at Staq.io from 2023. As Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Al Hussein Technical University since February 2019 and a Board Member at Safwa Islamic Bank since January 2017, Basem contributes to various committees including Supervisory, IT Governance, Credit, and Nomination and Remuneration Committees. Additionally, Basem is a Board Member at the Arab Center for Engineering Studies and ISSFJO, engaging in Audit & Risk and Investment Committees, respectively. Basem also holds Board Member positions at Petra National Trust, Delta Insurance Jo, and serves on the Advisory Board of the King Hussein Foundation. Previously, Basem was a Partner at Hummingbird Ventures from September 2012 to September 2016. Basem holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BSC in Electrical Engineering from Brown University.
