Sura Alshear

Sura Alshear is a seasoned IT security professional with extensive experience at Kinross Gold Corporation since August 2011, currently serving as Senior Director of IT Security. In this role, Sura leads the advancement of IT security functions, focusing on risk management, program maturity, and the development of a skilled security team. Previous positions within Kinross include Director and Senior Manager of IT Security, where Sura managed enterprise-wide security postures, executed multi-year roadmaps, and enhanced global security architecture. Sura's career began with roles in network administration and engineering across multiple organizations, including World Vision Canada and MEC Corporations, complemented by an Executive MBA from Ivey Business School and a B.Sc. in Computer and Software Engineering from the University of Technology.
