Sil Sohn has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Their most recent position was as a Development Manager at KIPP Public Schools Northern California starting in 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Prospect Management Strategist at the University of Washington from 2022 to 2023. In 2021, Sil was an Advancement Database Coordinator/Prospect Researcher at University Prep. They also served as an Admissions Officer at Lakeside School from 2020 to 2021. From 2018 to 2020, Sil worked as the Assistant Director of Research and Stewardship at Episcopal High School and prior to that, they were an Accounts Receivable personnel there from 2016 to 2018. Other roles include being a Project Manager at Ross & Moncure, Inc. in 2015 and the Founder and Faculty Advisor of Writing & Research Center at The Thacher School from 2014 to 2015. Sil also had teaching experience as an English Teacher and Sophomore Advisor at The Thacher School from 2011 to 2015. They have previous experience at Georgetown University, Florida International University - Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, and the University of Minnesota Medical School.
Sil Sohn attended St. Olaf College and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Writing Across Cultures - Paracollege. They then pursued further education at the University of Minnesota, where they earned a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree in Creative Writing. Prior to their higher education, Sil Sohn completed their high school education at Woodstock School.
