Samantha Mueller Sobrero

Samantha Mueller Sobrero serves as the Director of Literacy at KIPP Foundation since June 2025. Previously, from July 2018 to August 2025, Samantha held the positions of Associate Director of Elementary Schools and Assistant Principal at KIPP Public Schools Northern California. Between August 2014 and August 2025, Samantha worked at KIPP NYC as a Special Education and English Language Learner Coordinator and as a Special Education Teacher, implementing inclusive instructional models for diverse learners. Experience also includes a role as Mentor Teacher and Director of Education Catalyst with Teach For America, where Samantha fostered professional development and community building among educators. Other positions held include Instructional Specialist at LightSail Education and Special Education Teacher at The Neighborhood Charter School of Harlem. Samantha's educational background features degrees from Hunter College and UCLA, with advanced certifications in Childhood Special Education and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages.
