Dr Omer Gunes

Dr. Omer Gunes currently serves as the Chief AI Advisor at Kloia since October 2023 and is a Junior Research Fellow in Computer Science at Pembroke College, University of Oxford, where involvement includes the Quill Project since January 2018. Dr. Gunes also founded and holds the position of CEO at Oxtractor while working as an NLP Researcher at DeepZen from January 2018 to June 2025. Previous experience includes a graduate student role at New York University focusing on Natural Language Processing and Information Extraction, along with research and development positions at TUBITAK UEKAE and Logo Business Solutions. Dr. Gunes earned a D. Phil in Computer Science from the University of Oxford and has multiple degrees in related fields, highlighting a strong background in computer science and engineering.
