Barbara van Schijndel

Barbara Van Schijndel is an experienced professional in the fields of spatial planning and education. Currently serving as an Adviseur ruimtelijk domein at Gemeente Dongen since August 2022, Barbara has been a Lecturer at Breda University of Applied Sciences since September 2002, focusing on Geographic Information Systems and Research Methods. Responsibilities include course development in Urban Planning, Mobility, and International Spatial Development, along with supervision of projects and internships. Additionally, Barbara holds the position of Teaching Fellow in the Comenius Network at KNAW, leading a project on a game designed to help students understand energy transitions. Prior experience includes roles as a Researcher at Tilburg University and Radboud University Nijmegen, and as a Consultant and Researcher at the Ministerie van Infrastructuur en Milieu, with a focus on Mobility Management.
