Arvind Gurumurthy

Arvind is a Partner in the Bangalore office of Kochhar & Co.

He graduated from University Law College in Bangalore and has also obtained an LLM from University of California, Los Angeles. He is also a registered attorney with the New York Bar.

Arvind has over a decade of experience handling various assignments on corporate and commercial laws. He has advised prominent domestic and foreign corporations on setting up business in India, joint ventures, technical collaborations, acquisitions and strategic investments in addition to advising on a wide range of general corporate issues, contracts and employment law issues. His work has included structuring, due diligence, advice on regulatory issues, contract preparation and negotiations.

Arvind’s recent focus has largely been on corporate financing transactions advising venture capital and seed funds on investments into portfolios across various industry sectors. He is also actively involved with the start-up eco-system in India and regularly advises small to mature start-ups on various legal issues including advising on fund raising.

Arvind has also advised clients on various real estate transactions which include land acquisitions, project financing, lease, built-to-suit and joint development transactions, including carrying out legal audit on title.
