Avichal Prasad

Avichal is a Partner in the New Delhi office of the Firm. He has rich experience in diverse areas of law, particularly acquisitions, general corporate and transactional advisory as well as commercial dispute resolution.

He has advised multinational and Government clients from various industry sectors and has substantial experience in the Projects and Energy sector. He was listed as a “Next Generation Lawyer” in the Projects and Energy sector for the Asia-Pacific Region by The Legal 500 Guide to Top Lawyers for 2016, 2017 as well as 2018.

His experience ranges from advising and assisting clients in structuring of their joint ventures, preparation of risk matrix, incorporating SPVs, policy drafting, drafting, vetting and negotiating terms of contracts (JV Agreements, Project Finance agreements, EPC contracts, O&M contracts etc.), to drafting pleadings and appearing in arbitration matters.

In addition to his corporate experience, having been involved in arbitration (including international commercial arbitrations) gives him a broader perspective and deeper insight of the issues involved in transactions.
