Maren-Elise Bachke is a Senior Advisor at Utenriksdepartementet, a position held since June 2015. Previously, Maren-Elise served as a Senior Research Fellow at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs for a brief period in early 2015 and as a Research Fellow at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences from January 2007 to November 2014. Maren-Elise's career also includes roles as an Advisor at the Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food and as a Marketing and Trade Research Officer with FAO, where work involved international trade agreements in Mozambique and FAO programs in Swaziland. Earlier experience includes serving as a Higher Executive Officer at the Norwegian Ministry of Agriculture and Food from 1999 to 2002. Maren-Elise holds a Master's degree in Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and has completed coursework in European MSc Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness at Ecole National Superieure Agronomic de Rennes and Engineering at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
